Adaptive Stretch: Variations for every body By Renee Hambly – Pocket Rocket Pilates
Hosted by Insitu Pilates 1/34 Victory Pde Toronto
You’ll learn a range of stretching techniques — including dynamic, static, active, passive, PNF, and restorative stretches and each explained with their purpose, how to use them, and when to implement them in class. This in person workshop runs for 3.5 hours and includes a comprehensive PDF handbook with video references to support your learning after the session. By the end, you’ll have a deeper understanding of how to use adaptive stretch techniques to meet your clients’ needs, leaving them feeling supported, stretched and in tune with their bodies.

Everyone is welcome to any scheduled class. There will always be the “level up” or “level down” options which you can choose to suit our fitness level and ability.
It will be mandatory that all clients wear grip socks during the class for safety and hygiene. A fantastic range will be available on the app and in store.

Insitu All Rounder
The best place to start as this class is suitable for ALL LEVELS!
As the name suggests, it is an all over body workout that incorporates elements of abdominals, arms and legs.
We also provide options to “level up” or “make it harder” option during each particular exercise.
All Rounder will teach you the foundational Pilates movements, with each Instructor adding their own flair to the class.
There is a reason this takes up the majority of our timetable, because sometimes you just can’t beat the original Pilates concept!
After this class there is no doubt that you will walk out feeling better, stronger and energised!
Mature Movement
This class is designed with our more mature members in mind.
We suggest this class to those aged 55+ or those who require a slower paced class, with different options available for positions or movements that may be difficult for some.
This is still a fitness-based class, not rehabilitation.
We aim to create these classes focused on mobility, strength & balance. We have a large range of props to assist you throughout the class.
This class will keep your body moving!
Insitu Jump
Insitu Jump is a high energy class with that extra cardio boost!
Insitu Jump is also a fun way to challenge your coordination and to link your brain to the muscles you are using. The term for this is “proprioception”.
We also spend time off the jumpboard to ensure we target as many muscles as we can, as well as incorporating traditional Pilates movements throughout the class.
Suitable for ALL LEVELS, but best to start with a few all rounders first.
Reformer + Stretch
ALL LEVELS WELCOME
This will encompass a shorter 20 minute reformer class with quick transitions which will get your heart rate up.
Then a 25 minute lengthened reformer stretch class targeting all muscle groups to stretch and lengthen your muscles ready for your next workout.
A nice recovery class that still feels like a workout!
Insitu Stretch
Our ever so popular Sunday afternoon stretch!
This class will encompass a slow paced FULL reformer STRETCH class.
ALL LEVELS WELCOME to this class which is aimed to strengthen your minds and body.
This is not only a recovery class but one to also increase flexibility and mobility.
Imagine relaxing music, essential oils, candles and dim lighting to touch all your senses!
You will float on out after this class. The perfect way to end the week!
Insitu Advanced
This class is for ADVANCED Pilates lovers!
Not beginner friendly.
Not pregnant friendly.
This class will encompass more difficult Pilates repertoire designed to push those members who are ready for the challenge.
This is not for everyone however, if you want to know if you would ok for this level class simply ask an instructor.
Mums & Bubs – coming soon!
This class will run with the sole purpose to get your body back moving post partum.
Specifically focusing on your pelvic floor strengthening to have you safely re enter our regular classes when ready.
We will have two instructors on hand to ensure your wellbeing is paramount and to help with the babies!
Think of it as a mothers club that focuses on the Mum!

This introductory offer is valid to new members only and can only be used once.
You have taken the leap and purchased the introductory offer. This is the best place start as you can come and see what Insitu is all about and however your body feels after Pilates. Please make sure you book an Insitu All Rounder or Insitu Stretch as they are suited to all levels. Arrive 10 minutes before your first class so the instructor can explain the reformer and show you where everything is. All you need to bring is a water bottle and grip socks. You may bring a little towel if you wish. No grip socks? No problem! We have a cute selection which can be purchased on the day. Our tip to holding yourself accountable… plan your week and book your classes in. Remember to avoid loosing a credit, you must cancel outside the 3 hour window before the class starts. Reformer Pilates will improve your overall physical and mental wellbeing. The principles and movements from Mat Pilates are the foundations, however the reformer adds extra resistance through the springs used on the reformer bed.
In Pilates, balance is the part of the exercise that focuses on strength, stability, flexibility, posture and breathing. Every class will improve all these aspects of your body which you will take away and use in everyday life.
